  1. Brilliant gear. Made me feel safe. Easy to put on and the low base enables free movement. . Review by Steve

I tried this product out on Coniston Old Man yesterday in snowy and icy conditions.
They were brilliant- quick and easy to put on and they really gripped the ice.
I felt very safe and during the descent they were a godsend. We were parked halfway down the hill from the car park, and the walk down the icy hill, which is usually treacherous, was a doddle.
This gear is ideal for when crampons are an overkill and the low height base allows you to walk quickly and freely. Lightweight and easy to clean. (Posted on 15/01/2017)

  2. Snowy hike success! Review by Murphy

A friend and I bought these for a snowy weekend in the Lakes. They were brilliant: no slipping, really comfy, don't weigh much to carry either. We both felt much more confident on icy patches too. Really great for walkers who want to get out in the snow but who don't want to do routes that demand crampons etc (Posted on 04/03/2016)

  3. Overkill on city sidewalks Review by Norsk

The clamps seem to be a bit of overkill for just walking on slippery sidewalks, but most customers likely intend more adventurous use. The order blank was not clear that "1" meant one pair, not one gripper. So I ended up with two pairs, having wanted only one pair. You could make that clearer to customers when they order. I was recommended these spikes by friends in my walking group as we need them for our winter programme. I have very small feet so was pleased that it was so easy, for once, to buy small size. They are tight to get on the boots but this will be an advantage as they feel secure.Haven't tried them out yet as no real frost but I will wear them too locally should we have snow. A bit prices but great quality so worth it. (Posted on 12/12/2015)

Was told about these by a friend. So purchased some and was really surprised how much of a difference they make on ice. When I needed them I put them on and put my feet down still expecting some slippage but there wasn't any at all. I'm a size 11 and am using mammutt boots and they fitted snug and didn't move. Brilliant. Just got to see how long they last now. (Posted on 08/07/2015)

Whether on a frozen river, a glacier, or in the back-country, high up in the mountains around Almaty, Kazakhstan, on ice, snow or gravel, the Kahtoola Microspikes kept me on my feet, even when my brain told me I should have fallen, I was still standing! (Posted on 15/02/2015)
